Litho & Digital Print
Litho printing has always been considered as the ‘gold standard’ because of it’s superior colour reproduction, however, over the last 5 years the technical advances in Digital Printing have meant there is now little difference between the two printing processes.
The two systems still have a place in the market due to the fact that Digital Printing is only cost effective on smaller runs of approximately 250 or less, whereas Litho Printing is more cost effective on larger runs. There are other factors that limit Digital Printing, such as weight of paper and special ink colours, in these situations Litho Printing may still be best.
